Wellness Genescreen(TM)

What is it?

A non-diagnostic DNA test including 16 mutations, which represents an extension of the CVD multi-gene test, used as part of Wellness Programs offered by healthcare practitioners. It includes analysis of variation in clinically useful genes that may contribute to abnormal cholesterol levels, homocysteine accumulation, blood clotting, iron overload and inflammation. Some of these abnormalities contribute to the development of type II diabetes, obesity and hypertension. Oxidative stress, detoxification of carcinogens and oestrogen exposure are also important considerations in this context. For more information please refer to Table 4.1 on page 27 of the E-book that can be downloaded free of charge from this website.

This pathology supported nutrigenetics test is performed in conjunction with assessment of any food allergy or intolerances known to be associated with many chronic disorders. The results of the genetic test  are combined with clinical indicators and lifestyle factors to identify a combination of risk factors that may lead to disease development or progression, if left untreated.
